tummytuck.co.nz is an information directory, not a medical practice. We try to be specific about where each fact comes from — which regulator, which legislation, which dataset. This page is the public bibliography. If you find a claim on the site that is not supported by a source listed here, please email info@tummytuck.co.nz and we will either add the source or fix the claim.

NZ medical regulators

The bodies that register and audit the doctors we refer to. Use these to verify any surgeon’s credentials before booking.

Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)

Visit Medical Council of New Zealand

NZ doctor register. Search the public register to confirm vocational scope. For tummy tuck surgery the scope must read “Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery” — not just “General Surgery” or “Cosmetic Medicine”.

Inland Revenue (IRD) — KiwiSaver early withdrawal

Visit Inland Revenue

ACC

Visit ACC

NZ’s no-fault accident compensation scheme. Does not fund cosmetic surgery. A treatment-injury claim is the only realistic ACC pathway, and only when a prior surgical injury has occurred.

ClinicCompare (partner directory)

Verification policy

  • Regulator URLs (MCNZ, RACS, NZAPS, IRD, Te Whatu Ora, ACC) are re-checked quarterly. We do not add UTM parameters to these links.
  • Clinic-level data is re-synced from ClinicCompare on every build (last sync date visible on each clinic card).
  • Legislation URLs use the canonical legislation.govt.nz domain.
  • If a source URL 404s or moves, we update both the link and the cited claim within 7 days of discovering it. Email info@tummytuck.co.nz if you spot a broken link.
